VBF, a private equity fund that is built on the foundations of a long history of successful investments made by its founders in the Israeli capital and private markets.

The activist PE fund aims to invest in (mainly listed) Israeli companies with an established business model, which are traded at a significant discount to their intrinsic value.

VBF veteran management team has been successfully executing numerous transactions in Israel while employing investor activism and realizing significant gains over the years.

The fund’s uniqueness is expressed, among else, by its relatively short investment horizon aimed to create value to investors at a sorter term than traditional PE funds.

Tal Yaacobi, Managing Partner

Mr. Yaacobi has over 20 years of experience in a variety of investment management and strategic consulting positions in the Israeli and global capital market. Mr. Yaacobi specializes in building investment structures following successful execution of many transactions as a buyer, a seller, and a consultant.

Prior to joining VBF, Mr. Yaacobi served as a partner in Shamrock Growth Fund, where he sourced and led processes for identification, investment, value creation and successful sale of companies in different industries. In addition, he served as a strategy & corporate finance consultant during his tenure at McKinsey & Co. Mr. Yaacobi is a Certified Public Accountant, holds an MBA with distinction from Cornell University and a BA in Business Administration and Accounting from the Tel Aviv College of Management.

Victor Shamrich, Founding partner

Mr. Shamrich has been involved in investment management in the Israeli capital market for over three decades. Mr. Shamrich has a deep acquaintance and extensive research based knowledge of various industries. He specializes particularly in investments Israeli public companies.

Mr. Shamrich’s experience includes managing private and public companies, managing investments of institutional investors and alternative investment funds as well as leading transactions, business activism, value creation and sale of control in a large number of public and private companies.

Ido Neuberger, Founding partner

Mr. Neuberger has been engaged in senior management positions in the capital markets for about three decades. Mr. Neuberger’s experience includes CEO roles in public and private companies, leading the acquisition of control stakes in companies and managing dozens of complex strategic and financial transactions.

Mr. Neuberger specializes in planning growth strategies, managing investment banking processes, and managing strategic, operational, regulatory processes, etc. for private and public companies. Mr. Neuberger holds an M.A in Economics from Tel Aviv University.
